Inmates Convicted of Misdemeanors Will Pay for Davis Jail Stays

FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Inmates in the Davis County Jail for misdemeanors won't be getting free room and board.

County commissioners this week approved a $10 charge. A Utah law allows counties to charge at least $10 a day.

Weber County began charging its jail inmates on May 1.
