TAYLORSVILLE -- Police are investigating two overnight robberies that could be connected.
The first happened around 11 p.m. at a Conoco gas station at 4800 S. Redwood Rd. in Taylorsville.
Taylorsville police Sgt. Mike Ricketts says two men wearing bandannas across their faces and each carrying a handgun walked into the gas station and demanded money. The clerk complied and the men left.
Ricketts says they drove off in a mid-size, light-colored vehicle.
About two hours later police were called to the 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store at 4100 S. 6400 West in West Valley City.
Police say two men matching the description of the suspects from the Taylorsville robbery stole money at gunpoint from the 7-Eleven.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance video from both businesses to try to identify the men.
No one was injured during the robberies.
