(KSL News) Early this morning a man slammed his car into a car carrying a pregnant woman, then took off, all while police were watching.

But that man is still on the run.

Police tell us the man tried to rob a Smith's grocery store in West Valley City. He drove off, and a short time later an officer watched him hit the car with the pregnant woman inside, around 2100 South 2700 West. That woman is OK.

The man then crashed his car into a fence and took off on foot. Officials called in a helicopter and K-9 units to search for the man, but have not found him.
