(KSL News) -- A motorcycle policeman on patrol for unsafe drivers made his own mistake tonight.
South Salt Lake Police say that officer pulled out on his motorcycle to chase a driver speeding on State Street, but he pulled in front of another car. That car hit him from behind; he lost control and crashed.
The officer went to the hospital, but luckily his injuries weren't serious.
The driver who hit the officer will not face charges.
