Every now and then a major cultural event occurs in Utah that warrants widespread interest and participation. The stunning and inspiring Carl Bloch Exhibit at Brigham Young University's Museum of Art is one of those.

Curators call the exhibit of the renowned 19th century Danish artist a "once in a life-time" experience. And for good reason! Normally, Bloch's magnificent paintings depicting scenes from the life of Christ are displayed in a number of museums and churches throughout Denmark. For them to be brought together for a single exhibit is most rare. For that exhibit to be staged in Utah is a singular honor to Provo and Brigham Young University.

It is particularly significant for Bloch's paintings to be on display during the Christmas season, thru Easter and into the spring. They are revered by Christians throughout the world. Mormons, especially, have a fondness for his works since they have appeared for years in various LDS publications. Copies adorn the walls of countless chapels.

KSL encourages one and all to take the time to visit the exhibit. Free tickets are available online. Learn from, and enjoy the profound timeless messages captured in the images Carl Bloch painted. A pleasing, uplifting experience is virtually guaranteed.
