It’s always kind of fun when the UPS delivery person knocks on your door with a package. But today I got to witness the after effects of a package that perhaps should have been sent in a different manner.
I was called to the UPS warehouse just off 800 north in orem. a delivery truck that had just been filled with packages was now a smoldering carcass of a truck.
Firefighters say one of the employees noticed smoke coming out of one of the packages in a truck. Then it burst into flames.
Yikes.
At this point we can presume (but are not sure) there were some chemicals that when mixed ignite. So if you were expecting a package today and it didn’t come. Well, maybe you can thank the person that mailed the igniting box.
