GRAND CANYON, ARIZ. - A body was found in the Grand Canyon National Park by a group traveling down the Colorado River.
The body was found Wednesday afternoon, but by the time crews arrived to retrieve the body, it was too dark to remove the body so Grand Canyon rangers stayed with the body overnight.
The body was retrieved the following day via long-line operation (suspended below a helicopter) and eventually taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's office in Flagstaff, Arizona for autopsy and identification.
