SACRAMENTO, Calif. - June 7 - Southern Utah high jumper Justin Allen is tied for first-place after clearing six feet 10.75 inches and will advance to compete in the finals on Friday after day one of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

DeWayne Lewis finished with a time of 10.66 in the men's 100-meter dash, but did not move onto the semi-finals.

Allen was log jammed with 15 other competitors that cleared the preliminary mark and will look to secure an NCAA title in the high jump finals on Friday.
