(KSL News) Most Utahns aren't thrilled about the idea of tax dollars going to fund a soccer stadium for Real Salt Lake.
A poll done by Dan Jones and Associates for KSL-TV and the Deseret Morning News shows 56 percent of the people statewide oppose using tax dollars to fund part of the $110 million project. In Salt Lake County, where the stadium would be built, that number rises to 60 percent.
The $35-million funding package was approved by the legislature and Governor Huntsman earlier this year.
All of the money will come from hotel taxes in the state.
