SAN FRANCISCO -- A member of Utah's 405 Civil Affairs Battalion in Pleasant Grove is scheduled to sing the National Anthem at Game 2 of the World Series in San Francisco.

Specialist Kristin Day, a resident of Boise, Idaho, returned from a deployment to Afghanistan this spring.

Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday, October 28 at 6 p.m. between the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers.

The Soldiers of the 405th Civil Affairs Battalion are the Army's ambassadors to the world. They travel to host nations and work to build understanding and cooperation between the army, the host nation, foreign aid agencies, and local populations. Most recently the Soldiers deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
