COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Cody Hoffman and Brandon Ogletree (BYU), Ed Wesley (TCU) and Jordan Wynn (Utah) are the Mountain West Conference Players of the Week for games through Oct. 23. Wesley and Wynn share Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Ogletree garners the Defensive Player award and Hoffman earns Special Teams recognition. This marks the second career player of the week honor for Wynn and the first weekly accolade for Hoffman, Ogletree and Wesley.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

JORDAN WYNN, UTAH
Sophomore, Quarterback, Oceanside, Calif./Oceanside HS
Jordan Wynn completed 23-of-29 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns in three quarters of action, helping No. 9 Utah to a 59-6 win over Colorado State. The Oceanside, Calif., native threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first half, connecting with running back Eddie Wide on a 30-yard score early in the first quarter before throwing a career-long 71-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeVonte Christopher in the final minutes of the first half. Wynn added another strike moments into the second half, finding wide receiver Shaky Smithson for a 18-yard touchdown reception at the 10:28 mark of the third quarter to put Utah ahead, 31-6. Paced by Wynn, the Utes netted 648 yards of total offense, the fifth-most ever produced by a Utah team in one game.

ED WESLEY, TCU
Sophomore, Running Back, Irving, Texas/MacArthur HS
Ed Wesley led No. 4 TCU to a 38-7 victory over Air Force, amassing a career-high 209 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries to help the Horned Frogs improve to 8-0. The Irving, Texas native's 209 rushing yards are the most by an MWC player in Conference action this season. With 6:33 remaining in the third quarter, Wesley recorded an eight-yard touchdown to give TCU a 24-7 lead. Wesley, who averaged 7.5 yards per carry, later added a 13-yard score to put the Horned Frogs ahead, 38-7, with 6:22 remaining. Despite having two starting offensive linemen out due to injury, the sophomore posted TCU's first 200-yard rushing performance by a running back since Joseph Turner at San Diego State in 2007.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BRANDON OGLETREE, BYU
Sophomore, Linebacker, McKinney, Texas/McKinney HS
Brandon Ogletree registered career highs of five solo tackles and three tackles for loss (-8 yards) to aid BYU's 25-20 win over Wyoming. The McKinney, Texas, product also tallied a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry against the Cowboys. Four of Ogletree's tackles came on Wyoming's final offensive drive of the game, and two takedowns on the drive were for loss. With 27 seconds remaining and the Cowboys positioned at the BYU 25-yard line, Ogletree tackled Wyoming's Nick Carlson for a loss of six yards on a fourth-and-10 attempt to secure a Cougar victory.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CODY HOFFMAN, BYU
Freshman, Kick Returner, Crescent City, Calif./Del Norte HS
Cody Hoffman tallied 104 kick return yards in BYU's 25-20 victory over Wyoming. Hoffman helped the Cougars establish field position from the start of the game, returning the opening kickoff 34 yards to the BYU 42-yard line. That return, which marked a career best for the Crescent City, Calif., native, led to a Cougar touchdown. He also gave BYU field position at the 39-yard line and 27-yard line on two other returns. In total, Hoffman averaged 26.0 yards on four kick returns. He finished the contest with a game-high 111 all-purpose yards.
