Marc Giauque, KSL NewsradioPolice in Sandy arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery in Salt Lake City.
The robbery happened at the Blue Sky Market on 900 East and 200 South on Tuesday. It was captured by surveillance cameras.
The store's clerk tells KSL Newsradio that after the robbery, he grabbed a baseball bat from beneath the counter and tried to confront the suspect in the parking lot. The clerk says he backed off when the suspect threatened to shoot him, but then he tried again to stop him as the suspect got into his car.
Witnesses were able to get a good description of the car, including a license plate.
Salt Lake City police say officers in Sandy spotted the vehicle today, just moments after the information was placed on the department's computer system. The suspect, Joseph Romo, was arrested without incident.
