(KSL News) Small fires are keeping crews busy. A small fire burned near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon this evening. The fire came close to some homes, but was put out before it reached them.

A brush fire kicked up a bunch of smoke near Grantsville in Tooele County. It didn't cause any damage and firefighters quickly knocked it down.
No word on what caused it.
These fires are a reminder that it's the time of year to be very careful.
