MORGAN COUNTY -- Two teenagers were hurt when the ATV they were riding rolled near Francis Peak Tuesday.

According to Sgt. Scott Peay with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, a 16-year-old boy was driving the ATV with a 15-year-old male passenger around 6:00 p.m. The two tried to go up a steep hill on the Morgan side of Francis Peak when the driver hit the gas instead of the brake, causing the ATV to roll.

Both were thrown from the vehicle. The ATV ended up on top of one of them.

The driver was unconscious when medical crews arrived. He was treated for head injuries, while the other boy suffered broken ribs. Both were flown to University Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Peay says both boys are expected to be OK.
