(KSL News) Today several events will take place to remember those people who died in the line of duty.


Memorial Day Picnic
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Pioneer Park

"A Day of Remembrance and a Day to Remember"
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Hill Aerospace Museum

Memorial March & Flag Restoration
9:20 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Ft. Douglas, University of Utah

U.S. Marine Corp. Flag Raising
10:00 a.m.
Sugar House Park

State of Utah Memorial Day Program
2:00 p.m.
Utah Veterans Cemetery, Bluffdale

This morning, the Salt Lake City Mission hosts its annual Memorial Day picnic at Pioneer Park.

Hill Air Force Base holds "A Day of Remembrance and a Day to Remember" at Hill Aerospace Museum.

A Memorial March and Flag Restoration Ceremony will take place at Fort Douglas.

The public is invited to Sugar House Park for a Marine Corp flag raising in honor of the families who have lost loved ones serving this past year.

And this afternoon, the Utah Division of Veterans' Affairs will host the State of Utah's Memorial Day program at the Utah Veteran's Cemetery.
