I was thinking about sneaking out to see Shrek 3 by myself today when I suddenly had a pang of guilt....how could I talk about the movie at home? "Why didn't you take us, Dad?" I could hear my kids say. "Way to go, selfish" I could hear my wife say. "What kind of a father are you?" I could hear my Mother in Law say....but....what about living life to the fullest? What about those intrinsic experiences that make us better, more whole human beings so that we can share the milk of human kindness with our fellow man? Wouldn't a short respite from the cares of the world be of benefit to everyone in my sphere of influence?
Ok, ok...I'll wait and take the kids....they'd smell the buttered popcorn on my breath, anyway.
