SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah County man who went missing earlier this week was found safe and well in Salt Lake City Saturday morning.

Police say 45-year-old Russell Holmes was discovered wandering around the Gateway Mall at 10 a.m. Holmes went to the Utah State Fair Wednesday with a group from a state-run residential facility when he walked off, prompting a search.

Police say Holmes requires daily medications and faces the risk of severe illness and even death without them.
