SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Authorities identified the body of a 26-year-old woman found in Big Cottonwood Creek this weekend.

The body of Rie Motoi, of Japan, was found by hikers Saturday.

Salt Lake County Sheriff's Sergeant Rex Mulholland says the woman's cause of death is unknown, but investigators don't suspect foul play.

Motoi lived in Japan and California, although it's unclear where she was specifically living. Mulholland says Motoi had been in America for several months.
