I'm hooked on "Dancing With the Stars." I dabbled in ballroom while at BYU, and just think the show is fun. This morning one of my stories on Utah's Morning News was the fact that Julianne Hough, an Alta High grad, and Aplo Anton Ohno (soon to move here) are in tonight's finals of the show. They were on "Larry King Live" last night, along with the other stars in the finals and their partners. Larry's questions were hilarious -- "Joey, do you have feelins for Kym?" "Um, Larry, I'm married." "So you feel nothing?" Laughter.

A lot of audience love is behind Joey Fatone and Laila Ali -- they are both awesome, but I just think our Utah dancers are the best. In fact, four professional dancers with ties to Utah have been on the show. This state also has ties to other professionals in arts, sports, etc. I think Utah really does value talent, and we just produce talented people. Now I've never voted for anyone on the show or on "American Idol," but I'll be tempted tonight.

In other news the newsroom is buzzing about Al Sharpton and Arnold Schwarzenegger sightings today. Both are in town for different reasons, and we had to straighten out during our morning meeting which reporter would be going to what event to meet whom. I think Andrew Adams may sneak off to the Schwarzenegger/Huntsman news conference at noon, not to cover it as a story, but just to glimpse the governator.
