(KSL News) -- It was a mess on northbound I-15 this evening at 2700 south. A semi, hauling brand new cars and SUVs, overturned and the vehicles tumbled onto the pavement.
Metal, glass and debris scattered across all lanes; the ramp from Northbound I-15 to eastbound I-80 was shut down for nearly two hours.
The driver of the semi said a pick-up truck tried to avoid another car that was having mechanical problems, and swerved into him. All the cars he was carrying were totaled.
Besides the semi, three other cars were involved in the accident. The most severe injury in all of this, though, was a broken arm.
