NASCAR WEDDING

Unless you're famous... or marrying someone famous... your wedding doesn't make it on the Cutting Room Floor unless it's at a NASCAR race.

Sharon Hughes won't be having a white wedding... and that's okay.

She and her husband to be are huge NASCAR fans and didn't want to miss the Coca-Cola 600 Memorial Day weekend.

So, the two will be married that Saturday at a campground at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in North Carolina, the day before the big race.

Invitations to the May 26th wedding include checkered flag designs and the couple's favorite drivers.

Hughes will even have a black-and-white checkered ribbon attached to her bouquet.

IRISH OBAMA

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama could have the luck of the Irish on his side.

Utah based Ancestry-dot-com says Obama's great-great-great grandfather was from the heart of Ireland.

Obama's made much of his background as the son of a Kenyan father and an American mother.

Now Ancestry-dot-com says Obama's ancestors on his mother's side came from the village of Moneygall.

Locals are thrilled with the idea of their village being the ancestral home of a potential president.

And like all people looking to make a buck... hope it spurs tourist to the area.

WOMEN ONLY

Business women tired of getting hit on by their male counterparts... finally have a place to call their own.

The 19th floor of the J.W. Marriott hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan... no men allowed.

And a lounge will also be reserved for women only.

Spokeswoman Andrea Groom says women want be able to relax over a drink without getting hit-on by guys.

The women-only rooms will have unique amenities like special hair dryers, bath products, jewelry holders and chenille throws.

But, it'll cost you more... about 30- dollars more than the usual rate.

HUGGING BANDIT

New York authorities are happy to have the Hugging Bandit under wraps after 10 years of putting the squeeze on tipsy men.

According to police, Myra Castleberry would hug her victims while lifting their wallets.

Prosecutors say most of her victims were too drunk to identify her.

GETAWAY MOM

And, talk about motherly love...

A German mother of five... drove her 17 year old son and two friends to a jewelry store they wanted to rob.

She waited outside in the car while the trio stabbed, then robbed a jeweler.

She says she did because she was worried he might get hurt.

Now her son and four other kids will be without a mom... while she spends the next four years in prison.
