TOOELE -- High school football isn't the only thing generating back-to-school spirit.
Teachers at Settlement Canyon Elementary School in Tooele organized a pep rally to promote reading. They recruited the high school marching band and cheerleaders to get students pumped about pages and cheering for chapters.
Students at Settlement Canyon already have the reading spirit -- they were one of the top schools in KSL's Read Today Summer Reading Challenge.
Now, they want to be champions in the next challenge: the Read Today school edition starts Tuesday.
