(KSL News) -- Hill Air Force Base may soon have its first woman commander.

Brigadier General Kathleen Close has been recommended to command Hill's largest unit, the Ogden Air Logistics Center.

Her nomination still needs Senate confirmation, but Senator Orrin Hatch says General Close has a distinguished record of leading Air Force maintenance operations and will help keep Hill a world-class depot.
