SALEM -- A Salem man was arrested on shoplifting charges after a store clerk discovered his unique hiding place for the goods.

According to the Daily Herald, Austin Bennett, 29, had asked the clerk to hold his baby. That's when the clerk noticed a package of sleeping pills sticking out of the child's diaper.

Surveillance video was then reviewed. It shows Bennett placing the pills in the diaper before finishing his shopping and leaving the store.

Bennett is now being held in the Utah County Jail on a charge of retail theft. It's a third-degree felony because Bennett has three previous convictions.
