Recently, I made the decision to purchase a condo. The way I see it, being an apartment dweller, while conveinent, is not the best way to manage ones money. I come from back east where housing prices are quite a bit more than they are along the Wasatch Front, so I found many bargains.
After looking for a couple of weeks, I finally settled on a condo near the University. And while it needs work, I figure a little TLC (and lots of money) will make the difference.
But when you by for the first time, you don't realize just how much work you really have to put it on your home. It's been a real eye-opener, and an education. There have been some surprises along the way (some great, others well....). I'd write more, but I have to meet the kitchen guy and the window guy. Hopefully, they'll give me a good estimate (PLEASE!)
