(Photo Courtesy: Jeffrey D. Allred, Deseret News)A day after a subpar performance, the Utah offense bounced back for a great day of practice up on the Hill.

"The (offense) really rose up and did some good things. It was good to see them respond that way," Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham said.

While the defense continued to play tough against the run, it was the offense that shined in second and third down drills.

Whittingham noted that WR DeVonte Christopher, DT Sealver Siliga and the whole linebacking corps stood out in today's practice, which was the Utes' first day wearing full pads.

Two-a-days are set to begin tomorrow with their first scrimmage set for Thursday.

Bill Riley from ESPN700Sports.com
"One of the plays that worked today was the 'shovel/Utah pass'. A fan favorite was used on multiple occasions this morning and went for big gains each time is was used."

Dirk Facer from the Deseret News
"Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said it was good to see the offense respond from a subpar showing on Monday. The offense shined in second-down and third-down drills Tuesday morning at the Ute Baseball Field."
