Thousands of Students Graduate From the U Today

(KSL News) More than 7,100 students graduate from the University of Utah today.

This year, students from 75 countries, 48 states and 27 of Utah's 29 counties will receive diplomas.

The youngest person to get a bachelor's degree is 19; the oldest is 68.

This year's commencement speaker is the first counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thomas S. Monson.

Commencement starts at 9:00 this morning, after which individual colleges will present graduates with diplomas.
