Police say the women met at a gas station to trade property. As the victim left, the friend followed her in another car.

The driver of the car the victim was riding in tried to flag down a police officer near 200 East and 9000 South. That's when the friend who was following them rammed the car. The two women got out and started fighting.

The friend then stabbed the victim in the back, rammed her car again and took off.

The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition with a stab wound. She is expected to recover.

Police arrested the suspect, 38-year-old Jamie Nicole Mangum, Tuesday night in Kaysville. She was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for aggravated assault and hit-and-run.
