HUNTINGTON -- A Price man was killed Tuesday when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a reckless driver near Huntington.

Just before 11 a.m., the Emery County Sheriff's Office says its dispatch center received a call about a reckless Mazda 6 traveling north on state Route 10.

As the caller was on the phone with dispatchers, the Mazda crossed the center line into the southbound lanes and struck the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, 68-year-old Glenn Silvis of Price, was killed in the accident. The driver of the Mazda was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital.

The accident forced the closure of SR 10, near milepost 58, for about three hours.

The Emery County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
