(KSL News) A teenager accused of driving drunk on Interstate-15 is sitting in jail tonight. Motorists in the Ogden area called 911 last night to report a driver who was going all over the place. When troopers caught up with the vehicle, the driver led them on a chase.
Troopers threw down spikes, popping three tires. After riding the rims, the driver finally stopped and surrendered.
"A drunk driver driving down the road in and of itself is dangerous. But when he wants to blow off public safety, it was definitely imperative that we get him off the road," said Sgt. Ellis Alexander of the Utah Highway Patrol.
Officers found open containers of alcohol in the car.
