SALT LAKE CITY (April 25, 2007) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that infielder Chone Figgins will begin a rehab assignment with the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday, April 26 at Franklin Covey Field. Figgins will also suit up for the Bees throughout the remainder of the team's home stand which ends on Sunday, April 29.

Figgins was placed on the 15-day disabled list on March 31 with two broken fingers on his right hand. A former Salt Lake Stinger and Leary, Ga. native, Figgins hit .308 in 193 games for Salt Lake from 2002-2003. He has averaged .285 at the plate and totaled 161 hits for the Angels during his career.
