(KSL News) The husband of a woman convicted of murdering her former ranch hand has been charged in the case.
Vern Fields is now charged with the murder of "Jerry" Palensky.
Last month, Fields' wife, Linda, was convicted of Palensky's murder and sentenced to life without parole. Prosecutors say she killed the man or convinced her husband to do it so they could collect on his life insurance policy.
In his will, Palensky left his belongings to the couple, but investigators now say Vern Fields forged that will.
Palensky's body was found in the Jordan River in 2004.
