(KSL News) The cost of health insurance is going up in Utah. A study done by the Utah Insurance Department found the monthly payment amount went from $162 to $171 dollars between 2004 and 2005. That is an increase of 5.6 percent.

The increase may have led to more people going without health insurance.

In the same time period, the percentage of Utahns without insurance went from 9.1 percent to 11.6 percent.
