SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Utah man arrested in Oklahoma in connection with the death of his girlfriend has returned home to face murder charges.
Forty-year-old Curtis Jason Ellis has been charged with first-degree murder. He's accused in the death of his 35-year-old girlfriend, Shuree Baarsma.
Police say the woman was found dead in the couple's West Valley City home last November. Officers say Ellis had called police to report his girlfriend was NOT breathing. However, an autopsy later revealed the woman was strangled.
Ellis --- who was arrested two months ago in Oklahoma --- is now set to appear in court on April 30th.
