(KSL News) Legislators promised a pay raise for Utah teachers in the last legislative session, but now can they deliver?

Lawmakers have been crunching the numbers for weeks with education officials to give the $2,500 raise.

Now, they are upset because the number of certified teachers has changed, resulting in a smaller raise for everyone.

The state schools superintendent has denied claims that districts inappropriately inflated their numbers.
