Andrew Adams, KSL NewsradioA guy wearing only a towel was arrested for stabbing a dog in the face. It happened near 3800 South and Redwood Road.
Police Captain Tom McLachlan says Brandon Lee Mike misunderstood his mom when she complained about a dog, apparently thinking it was threatening her. According to McLachlan, "He had just finished taking a shower, so he put a towel around his waist."
Mike then hopped on a bike and found the German Shepherd. "Without provocation, he went up and stabbed the dog in the face," McLachlan said.
The 12-year-old girl with the dog was traumatized. The dog was hurt but is expected to recover. The towel-wearing suspect is facing two misdemeanor charges.
Police say they've had dealings with Mike before.
