(KSL News) The Salt Lake City Council has approved an amendment that will allow a sky-bridge to be built as part of the downtown renovation plans.
But the project's designer will have to create a master plan that meets the criteria in the amendment. That includes minimal impact on views, making use of urban design elements and not impacting street-level pedestrian activity.
Critics have argued a sky-bridge will make the City Creek Center a self-enclosed shopping complex and will impact shopping on Main Street.
