(KSL News) Intermountain Donor Services gathered leaders from the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable organization to show support for organ donation.

Religious Leaders Are Calling on Utahns to Donate Organs

Most mainstream religions view organ donation as an "act of charity" and love, but stress that it's a personal choice.

Rev. Russell Baker of the United Church of Christ says, "I want to continue an act of grace even after my death and I think organ donation is one of the ways I can do that and it was a personal decision that I made."

More than 270 people in the intermountain west region are waiting for organ donations
