(KSL News) -- A person is in critical condition this morning after a car they were in went airborne in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

The car flew off the road an estimated 50 to 75 feet and landed in the parking lot of the Solitude Ski Resort. It came from the road above and almost landed on the roof of a building.

The driver was also hurt.
