(KSL News) This morning's High 5 went to a woman we affectionately call the bird lady.
DaLynn Erickson volunteers at the Ogden Nature Center, where she takes care of hundreds of bird. Her co-worker, Amber Hansen, nominated Erickson for a High 5.
"She's a very big inspiration to all of us volunteers," Hansen said. "She's here seven days a week for at least 14 hours a day, and she takes care of upwards of 700 birds a year. That's everything from eagles to hummingbirds. She's just fabulous. She's an incredible woman."
Erickson told us she loves the work. "I'm fortunate," she said. "[I'm] lucky to be able to do this stuff. It's awesome."
Our Coco Warner gave Dalynn a $50 gift certificate to Winder Farms and a High 5.
