SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The westbound lanes on I-80 in Parley's Canyon are now reopen following an accident involving two semis and a car.
The accident around six o'clock this morning near East Canyon exit. Utah Highway Patrol trooper Preston Raban says a driver of a semitrailer truck --- who was believed to be speeding --- was heading west on I-80 when it flipped on its side, slid down the road and collided into a car. Troopers say the semi later burst into flames.
Raban says a second semitrailer then came along and saw the semi on its side. However, the driver apparently was unable to stop and collided into it.
This morning's accident caused the westbound lanes of I-80 to shut down for more than two hours.
No one was seriously hurt. Charges are pending the investigation. ---
