(KSL News) Somehow, some way, someone wanted to give a High 5 to a school suspension coordinator.

Marilyn Karoulis is the school suspension coordinator for Fairfield Junior High School in Layton. So, she's the woman students go see when they're dealing with disciplinary issues or academic problems.

Actually, Marilyn is described as a sweetheart, making it easy for her to help the kids.

Principal Steven Davis said, "She is so compassionate and caring and has high expectations for the students as they come in. [She] is willing to help them with their academics and trying to change the behaviors that got them into this position."

Marilyn said, "I'm one of those people that is so lucky. I get to come to work and have fun every day with these kids. These are the greatest kids to work with. I love my job. I just love my job. I look forward to coming to work every day."

Marilyn received a $50 gift certificate to Winder Farms, and of course a High 5 from our Coco Warner.

If there is someone you'd like to nominate for a High 5, follow the link on this page.
