Annual Seniors Conference Focuses on Enjoying Life

(KSL News) They call them the Golden Years, but for thousands of seniors getting older also brings with it a lot to do.

The 20th Annual Seniors Conference was held today in Salt Lake City. The focus this year is how to enjoy life while managing things like finances and health care.

"The seniors wouldn't miss this for anything because they learn so much, they're able to solve a lot of their own problems and in the process they get to listen to some very, very interesting people," said Utah Senator Orrin Hatch.

The conference also addressed wills, health care and social security. There were also opportunities to be tested for glaucoma, prostate cancer and blood pressure.

University of Utah's professor Dr. Mario Capecchi talked about the future of medicine. And, former meteorologist Mark Eubank talked about how seniors can enjoy retirement.
