(KSL News) Today is National Doctor's Day, which makes it the perfect time to say thank you to a Layton doctor who represents the best of the profession.

Dr. Craig Hurst was nominated by the CEO of the Davis Hospital and Medical Center, Michael Jensen.

Dr. Hurst is an ob-gyn, and was told he would be helping deliver twins this morning. Instead we surprised him with a High 5.

Michael Jensen said, "Our doctors are superheroes. Dr. Hurst is our chief of staff, leading our physicians in this community. [How appropriate] to recognize him and what they all do. He's a great person."

Dr. Hurst replied, "I don't think there's anything better than seeing life born, but not at six in the morning."

If you know someone who deserves a High 5, you can nominate them by following the link on this page.
