(KSL News) A young man died in a car wreck in Sardine Canyon this morning.
The Utah Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Derek Ross was headed north on the snowy highway near Mantua when he lost control of his car.
Ross spun out of control and into the path of a southbound freightliner.
The driver of the freightliner tried to swerve to the right but was unable to avoid the accident. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
