(KSL News) Salt Lake County Animal Services report at least four cases of dogs being poisoned in the past week.

In two of the cases, green pellets that appear to be rat poison, were found stuck in meat that the owners found in their yards. Both of those cases were in Salt Lake City.

Someone is Mysteriously Poisoning Animals in Salt Lake

A dog owner in Cottonwood Heights found a pan of suspicious liquid in her yard, while a man in Herriman came home to find his dogs were sick from wet dog food. Temma Martin, with Salt Lake County Animal Services, said, "We're asking all pet owners to keep their pets indoors as much as possible and check their yards before they let them outside. And, if they see anything suspicious, please report it to us."

All the dogs are expected to survive. If you have any information that could help solve these mysterious poisonings, you should call Salt Lake Animal Services.
