(KSL News) Salt Lake County recreation projects are now underfunded.

Last November voters approved a $63.5-million bond to construct new recreation centers and trails.

The Deseret Morning News reports last night the Salt Lake County Council realized low-ball estimates and inflation costs have left them $19 million short.

Still, the council passed a resolution assuring cities the county will pay for all projects, though no solution to the monetary shortfall has been reached.
