SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- State Rep. Mark Walker has outspent his Republican rival for state treasurer by nearly $15,000.
Walker, a Republican from Sandy, faces off against deputy treasurer Richard Ellis in the June 24 primary.
Campaign finance reports due Tuesday show Walker has spent about $42,000 on his campaign, compared with about $27,000 by Ellis.

However, Ellis has more cash on hand to spend in the remaining days before the primary. Ellis has about $24,000 left to spend, while Walker is down to about $13,000.
The two are in a bitter campaign where Ellis has demanded that Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert investigate Ellis' allegations of corruption against Walker. Ellis says Walker offered him a raise if he would drop out of the race. Walker denies any wrongdoing.
