(KSL News) The Greater Salt Lake Chapter of the American Red Cross today honored five local heroes. Some of them made news headlines, others didn't, but the Red Cross believes that ALL are making Utah a better place.

Honorees included Jeannie Edens, who is a victim's advocate with the Summit County Sheriff's Office. She says helping another person is the best feeling in the world. "Having a victim come up to you when they're in a better place in their life is amazing," she said. "It made it all worth it."

Today's youngest honoree was three-year-old Chehala Moore. When her mother fell and injured her hip, Chehala called 911 and let rescue crews in the house.

Other heroes include Jason Mettman, Ed Chauner and Dr. Ryan Johansen.
