SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Michigan State's assistant basketball coach is interviewing for a coaching job in Utah.

Coach Jim Boylen says he's very interested in the position as the men's basketball coach at the University of Utah. He says it's a great job.

Boylen says he plans to meet with the school's athletic director this week. Ray Giacoletti recently resigned after coaching the team for three seasons.

Boylen has been an assistant at Michigan State for two seasons, following 13 years as an N-B-A assistant, mostly in Houston. ------ Information from: Deseret Morning News, http://www.deseretnews.com
